How it Works

Our hikes are open to all friendly dogs. No worries if not, ask about our private hikes. We require a 15 minute Treat & Greet for all new clients and we only introduce one new dog to the group at a time.

How Nature Hikes Work:

  • Your pup(s) will be picked up from your place at our scheduled time.

  • They will be seat-belted in and driven to one of our curated hiking areas for the day.

  • We'll play, explore, exercise and socialize for hours. (Summer hikes are held near water)

  • We provide fresh water and personal bowl, treats as allowed, and always a close eye on your dog's wellbeing throughout our adventure.

  • Expect a happy, tired, and very peaceful dog to return home. After the hike most only require a quick night relief.

  • Must wear ID tag with name and number.

  • Must wear tick application.

  • Must be neutered or spayed, unless on private hike.

Will my dog be hiking off leash?

No, all of the trails we hike require dogs to be leashed.

Do you hike dogs year round?

Absolutely! People and dogs enjoy the gorgeous North Carolina trails all year round. We do not cancel hikes because of rain; dogs don't mind getting wet and neither do we.

Do you hike all breeds?

Our mission is to give every dog a day on the trail! Our hikes are open to all friendly dogs. From Mini to Mastif, 6 months to 14 years, we hike with dogs of all shapes, sizes and energy levels. They all benefit from hiking and we select trails that are specifically tailored to the needs of your unique pup.
